SUMMER STUDENT TE-ANDRE HERBIN PRESENTS AT SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE PIPELINE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

Te-Andre Herbin, an undergraduate from North Carolina Central University, spent the summer doing cancer research in the lab of CCBTP mentor Dr. Michael Emanuele.  Te-Andre was mentored at the bench by Allie Mills, a senior graduate student in the Emanuele lab.  Te-Andre’s participation in UNC’s SOLAR program was jointly sponsored by the Cancer Cell Biology Training Program, Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Summer of Learning and Research (SOLAR) program.  On July 26, Te-Andre presented a poster titled “The Role of SIRT5 in Breast Cancer Cell Proliferation” at the Summer Undergraduate Pipeline Research Symposium.
